STS. MARY & MARTHA'S ORTHODOX CHURCH HAFIZABAD PAKISTAN

The term Orthodox is derived from the Greek root words orthos, which means accurate and authentic opinion. The word Orthodox means true teaching and true worship. The orthodox church indoctrinate that it is the one, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic church established by Jesus in his great commission,and that its bishops are the successor of Christ’s apostles. It maintain that it practices the original christian belief as passed down by Holy convention.

In Pakistan, there are very few Orthodox missions and many people do not know about the Orthodox mission. Therefore, our objective is that people should know about Orthodoxy, that it is a mission based on spiritual intentions and ancient traditions. To fulfill this aim, we are taking the first step towards our destination that we are laying the foundation of the main Orthodox church in Pakistan which will be known as Saints Mary and Martha Orthodox Church. We have about 15 Baptized families and around 50 catechumens who are part of this church and who have adopted new Orthodoxy. These are the people who have faith in the sacredness of the new Orthodox mission and want to spend the rest of their lives under the Orthodox mission. Therefore,we are establishing a Church in Hafizabad city of Punjab, Pakistan to make these people a full part of the orthodox church. There are couple of Orthodox churches at Hafizabad, Pakistan, but this is the first church in Hafizabad city of Pakistan.
